Collaborations with other European efforts

- ACTRIS. ACTRIS is the European Research Infrastructure for the observation of Aerosol, Clouds and Trace Gases. Some activities in common have been carried out. To be highlighted the intercomparison of ACSM instruments from COLOSSAL WG1, and the intercomparison of aethalometer instruments from COLOSSAL WG3.
- COLOSSAL was presented at ACTRIS WP3 Technical meeting, Madrid 17-19 Oct 2017. Participant: M.C. Minguillón.
- The COLOSSAL activities have been disseminated during the ACTRIS-RO (ACTRIS-Romania) meeting, which took place at “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Iasi-Romania, 12 -13 November2018. Participants: J. Vasilescu, L. Marmureanu. Twitter post.
- Intercomparison of ACSM instruments, activity from COLOSSAL WG1, carried out in collaboration with ACTRIS at ACMCC. 19-23 Nov 2018.
- Intercomparison of absorption photometers (aethalometer instruments), activity from COLOSSAL WG3, carried out in collaboration with ACTRIS at the European Center for Aerosol Calibration. 14-25 Jan 2019.
- COLOSSAL updates were presented at ACTRIS in situ Technical meeting, Prague, 21-24 Oct 2019. Participant: M.C. Minguillón.
- EBAS. EBAS is a database hosting observation data of atmospheric chemical composition and physical properties.
- COLOSSAL framework has been created in EBAS so that COLOSSAL participants can use this long-term platform to share the atmospheric aerosols measurements.
- FAIRMODE. Forum for air quality modelling in Europe.
- COLOSSAL was presented at FAIRMODE Technical meeting in Tallin, 26-28 June 2018. Participant: S. Gilardoni.
- European Guide on air pollution source apportionment with receptor models. JRC Technical Report. COLOSSAL community provided input for the guide.
- TFMM. Task Force on Measurements and Modelling.
- COLOSSAL was presented at TFMM meeting in Madrid, 7-9 May 2019. Participant: M.C. Minguillón.
- EIT Climate KIC Greece Hub. EIT Climate-KIC is a dynamic, pan-European organisation addressing one of the most important and pressing problems of our time. EIT Climate KIC Greece Hub is composed by a consortium of various organisations across the knowledge triangle: the partners Athena Research and Innovation Center (ATHENA RC) Academy of Athens (AA) -Research Centre for Atmospheric Physics and Climatology, European Regional Framework for Co-operation (ERFC) Uni.Fund, supported by the associate Partners: United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN-Greece, hosted by ICRE8: International Center for Research on the Economy and the Environment) Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE) Eunice Energy Group. Dissemination of COST Action CA16109 activities during the EIT Climate KIC Greece Hub kick-off meeting was carried out by the COLOSSAL participants from NCSR Demokritos.
